We are half way through the Winter Epic series with a tough XC ride with some rocky downs around Hebden Bridge planned for January, so any ideas for February and March, they need to be EPIC.

How about epic in technical riding rather than long slogs? (ie for people like me who like tech riding but hate silly climbs n shit that span over what seems like 3 continents!) bounce

Come up with a location, trouble I find is that to get a decent descent and tech ride means slogging uphill somewhere to get the height in the first place. Lakes is obvious location but again you gotta get up the hill, unless your happy for a shorter loop. Open to ideas.

I have a plan for a shorter route that's major tech, still super difficult and only for experienced riders. Will now try think of something a little tamer for those that might need a chicken run. Januarys would be ok for those that can manage a lap of Dalby, more XC style but with some narrow steep rocky decents but Phil managed on his Scott XC race machine.

Sounds good,

How about Reeth/Swaledale?

Also I'd like to see a lot more of the peak district

Personally find Reeth, Swaledale very boring, big climbs for little in the way of descents. Covered pretty much all the dark peak now but will be there again, currently looking for the descent they have pictured in this months mbr as not ridden it.
